LPDC Process

  • It is the responsibility of each teacher/staff member to be current with their LPDC materials
  • Must have an approved Individualized Professional Development Plan (IPDP) filed with the LPDC

    • You cannot accumulate ceus/coursework hours without an up to date IPDP
    • CEUs/coursework will not be retroactive for an expired IPDP, per the state of Ohio
  • Attend college courses, workshops and other professional development activities that relate to your IPDP in order to renew your teaching certificate/license
  • Preapproval is needed to assure your ceu/coursework will be approved—MUST align with your IPDP goals
  • You MUST keep track of your ceus/coursework on your Tracking Sheet.

When renewing, please bring your tracking sheet, documentation of attendance for ALL various ceus/coursework that support your IPDP. If you do not have a certificate of attendance with the number of contact hours, but have it written on your tracking sheet, it will NOT count for renewal, no exceptions. A copy of your college transcripts must be sent to the LPDC, per the state of Ohio. An official transcript is needed for Carol Soncrant.

If at any time you have an LPDC concern or question, do not hesitate to contact Kathy Singlar at Jerusalem (419-836-6111) or by e-mail at ksinglar@oregoncs.org

Beginning January 2014 – all first-time and renewal licensure applications must be completed online.  Following is the link for the online application:
