CLAY HIGH SCHOOL

January 8, 2009

I. CALL TO ORDER--ALLEGIANCE TO FLAG BY PRESIDENT PRO TEM

IV. ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Mrs. Karoly, the Board’s President Pro Tem, will ask the Board for nominations for Board President.  Although a second is not required, members may wish to second a candidate’s nomination.  A member may move to close nominations for President and another second the motion.  The Treasurer shall call the roll and ask the members for their vote for President.  A majority vote is needed to be selected.  This same process will also occur for the selection of Vice President.

Once the president and vice president have been elected, the new president will preside over the meeting.

V. NEW BUSINESS

A. Date, Time, and Schedule for Regular Meetings and

B. Resolution “Continuation of the Board’s Service Fund” for the 2009 fiscal year as appropriated last November and as provided by Ohio Revised Code, Section 3315.15.

C. Legislative Liaison to Ohio School Boards Association

D. Student Achievement Liaison

E. Recreation Board Representative

F. Legal Counsel Appointment
  It is recommended that we continue using Spengler Nathanson as legal counsel and Gary Breier for local issues.  Peck, Shaffer and Williams, Columbus, Ohio will represent the district as bond counsel.  Bricker and Eckler will help with levy issues.
