| Our Visit To Chicago |

On December 9th and 10th, Mrs. Duda had the opportunity to take four Spanish III students to Chicago. The five of us met with twelve other Spanish students from Genoa High School. In the two days, we learned the Merengue, Salsa and Cha-Cha, ate Mexican food, danced, and shopped. Students had the opportunity to try out their dancing skills at La Tierra. Students not only danced but also enjoyed a most delicious Mexican dinner. Students also had time to visit a panadería (bakery), and a Mexican candy store. On Saturday, we went to the Museum of Industry and Technology. Here, we experienced many hands-on activities. The display of the International Christmas trees was very impressive. In these two days, we saw and experienced a lot of Mexican culture. We sure had a lot of fun and I am wishing that we will be able to make this trip again this year. |
