Medical Administrative AssistantThe Medical Administrative Assitant program (MAA) focuses on medical office procedures and medical transcription, plus a wide array of supporting skills and abilities. Students learn the basic medical skills through a variety of classes including: Microsoft Word 2003, Medical Terminology and Transcription, Medical Insurance Billing and Coding, Keyboarding, and Medical Office Procedures. In addition to several months of course instruction, students complete a 3 week externship in a medical facility. This externship experience allows the students to get hands-on training and utilize their newly acquired skills. After completing the MAA program, National Health Career Association Certified Billing & Coding Specialist (CBCS) Certified Medical Administrative Assistant Class Dates:
