EMT Basic
VA approved training program. Tuesdays & Thursdays Call for Starting Class Dates 7:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. 19 weeks Fee: $700 Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) These courses teach the proper techniques to sustain the life of a person whose heart and/or breathing has stopped. You will also learn how to assist a person who is choking. An American Heart Association card will be given for successful completion of the course. All instructors are American Heart Association-certified. All classes can be either adult/child or pediatric. Also, all classes can be arranged for businesses. Call for next available training session or to schedule a group of 4 - 6 people.
This course is designed for those who would like to teach CPR to others. A mandatory prerequisite for this course is a current American Heart Association BLS Health Care Provider card, a copy of which must be sent in with registration. Fees include all supplies Will arrange with 4 - 6 persons. A 130 hour course is designed for those individuals who desire to become State Certified Emergency Medical Technicians. This course covers anatomy, airway control, patient assessment, treating trauma victim, treating patients with medical emergencies, patients in cardiac arrest, anaphylactic shock, breathing problems, obstetrical emergencies, and legal aspects.
