I was born in Kingsville, Texas and am an identical twin.  My dad was in the Navy and we relocated to Tennessee and then Florida.  I graduated from Seminole High School, Sanford, Florida, and received my Masters in Education from the University of Central Florida.  Prior to moving to Ohio, I taught in Florida and Minnesota.   I was a classroom teacher for 22 years before accepting my first administrative position with Toledo Public Schools.  I completed coursework at the University of Toledo to obtain my Elementary Principal License as well as a Superintendent License.

I came to Oregon City Schools in 2004 as Director of Curriculum.  Supporting teachers and helping provide positive learning experiences for all students are my main objectives.   It is my pleasure to work with a caring community, supportive parents and a highly dedicated staff to provide excellence in education for our students.

As Curriculum Director, I work closely with the Gifted and Talented Coordinator and Director of Student Services to insure that the needs of all students are met.  The Curriculum Office also coordinates and oversees Testing and Assessments, Title I, Professional Staff Development, Textbook/Material Adoptions, Course of Study Reviews, Kindergarten Registration and Screening as well as other related Educational Programs.

My husband, Dan, is a retired Corporate Pilot and owned and operated a flight school, which inspired me to obtain my private pilot's license.  Dan now enjoys golfing, diving and hunting, and in my spare time I enjoy reading and collecting dolls from the 1950’s and earlier.
