Hello, and welcome to Oregon City Schools!  Oregon is truly a wonderful place to reside and raise a family.  I was born and raised in our community.  I attended Starr Elementary, Fassett Middle School (where I met and started dating my husband Mike Laurell) and attended Clay High School.  Mike and I were proud members of the Clay High School Fighting Eagle Marching Band and we both made a commitment after we attended Adrian College to return back to Oregon to raise our family and give back to our community.  I am very proud to say that our commitment also lives on in our three children who currently live and serve in our community.  I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from Adrian College.  I doubled majored in Business Administration and Sociology.  During high school and college I worked for the Oregon Recreation Department.  My first job out of college was working as a manager for Bartz Viviano Florist.  Once my children started attending Oregon City Schools I started volunteering for the schools and became an active member of Starr School’s parent group.  I started working for the Oregon City Schools as a substitute secretary and class room paraprofessional.  I spent a lot of time in Special Services and then was assigned to the Transportation Department and was hired as the Transportation Supervisor.  After working in Transportation for 14 years I had the opportunity to become the Food Service Supervisor for Oregon City Schools.  I look forward to working in the environment of Food Service and welcome any suggestions or concerns.
