Dear Parents,
Lifelong learners and responsible community members. It is what we want each of our students to be. To support this, we strive to bring excitement for learning and to expose our students to endless possibilities. Specifically, we have two wonderful educational opportunities for our students coming up. The 7th grade students will be attending Imagination Station and the 8th grade students will be attending Washington D.C. during 4th quarter.
The 7th graders have been taking class trips for the last three years. Last year the students went to Columbus and visited the State Capital and talked to some of our congressmen. This year’s trip to Imagination Station will focus on more Science and Math based concepts. The students will be going on May 16th. You should have received several letters from Mrs. Pevets in regards to the trip.
The 8th graders will be attending Washington DC, May 15-18th. Mr. Szigeti has been busy planning and organizing the students onto their busses and hotel rooms. The students will be very busy on the trip traveling to the exterior of the White House, Ford’s Theater, Lincoln Memorial, Korean & Vietnam War Memorials, Smithsonian National Museums and many more historical sites. If you have any questions in regards to this trip please contact Mr. Szigeti.
Our staff has been working real hard this year with preparing our students for the Ohio Achievement Assessments. The test will be given on April 30 – May 2nd. Please make sure your child has plenty of rests, eats breakfast and that you schedule all appointments after 10:30 am. Please look for the article in the newsletter in regards to what your child can wear during testing days and the incentives that we are offering to the students.
Sincerely,
Becci Bihn Principal
