Each year the Oregon City Schools authorizes an 8th grade trip to Washington DC where students are exposed to historical sites, fun places to visit, lessons on citizenship, and the experience of traveling with their peers.  Mr. John Vine, 8th grade Social Studies Teacher, plans the trip for students and their chaperones.

If you are the parent of an 8th grade student, please plan on joining Mr. Vine at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 19th in the Media Center for important information concerning the trip.  He will pass out necessary paperwork, talk about deadlines for payments, discuss fundraising opportunities, and share the tentative itinerary.

There will be some fundraising opportunities, however, it is not the focus of our fundraising committee to raise enough to pay for the entire trip.  Students who work diligently may be able to pay for a larger portion, but it is not the responsibility of the organization to provide enough opportunities for the entire trip to be sponsored.
