The Toledo Children’s Hospital received a 4-year grant from the Ohio Department of Health to focus on injury prevention among youth.  A major focus of the injury prevention activities involves encouraging everyone involved in wheeled-sports to wear a properly fitted bike helmet.  Safe Kids Greater Toledo , together with the Safe Routes to School staff, has offered various fun and educational activities for the students of Oregon. 

The attached “Oregon Parent/Caregiver Survey” for the parent/caregivers of Fassett students is intended to gauge the level of interest within the community to consider the potential opportunity for a helmet policy.
