Tis the Season…Oregon Food Basket and Toy Program We are also currently collecting toys for the Oregon Food Basket Program which supplies toys to Oregon families in need. We have currently collected over 25 new and unused toys and hoping to reach 75 toys. Thanks! We are continuing our drive by asking students to bring canned goods and toys to their AA classes the week of December 12th. Students and their teacher will plan to build a Food Drive Sculpture out of the cans and toys that they bring in. On Thursday, December 15th, the winning class will be chosen. The winning class will receive a prize. However, every class that brings in a total of 30 canned goods and/or toys will get a “game day” during AA on the 16th. These events are designed to be fun ways to share the gift of giving. We are certainly aware that this is a family affair and are very thankful to each of you who give of your time and resources to help the families in our community. We are also aware that some of our families cannot participate in these types of drives and that is definitely understood. Thank you for all of your support with each of these endeavors aimed at teaching and at strengthening our community! |
