Second Graders are Busy!

Jerusalem’s 2^nd graders have been busy creating autobiographies.  For two weeks, we had parents help us remember facts from each year of our lives, which we compiled into paragraphs during our writing lessons at school. The project was complete when we created a ‘person’ to display with our life stories. Our lives have been pretty exciting so far!

Right before Easter the Jerusalem 2^nd grade students made a ‘pizza’ story and sequenced Patricia Polacco’s book, In Enzo’s Splendid Gardens. Then we created paper Pysanky eggs with gel pens.

After reading Postcards from Pluto, we imagined that aliens came to visit us. We wrote descriptive stories about our aliens and made projects of how they looked.
