DARE Graduation
On May 20, the Jerusalem Fifth graders were honored in a DARE graduation ceremony. DARE is the Drug Abuse Resistance Education that is taught by Oregon City Resource Officer Sara Shaw to all fifth graders. Students learned about resisting drugs and alcohol, as well as how to handle peer pressure, bullying, and internet safety. A final DARE report was required by each student. Class representatives, chosen by their peers, read their DARE reports at the graduation ceremony. Our 2011 representatives were Breanna Batch, Emilie Gorajewski, Zach Groll, and Mason Schroeder. Congratulations to all 52 graduates!
