Box Tops, Soup Labels, and Local Incentive Programs

Starr Elementary will be collecting box tops and soup labels again this year.  General Mills sponsors a program called Big “G” Box Tops for Education.  A collection box for the box tops is located outside the office.  Campbell Soup Company is again offering the Labels for Education Program.  Soup labels can be placed in the collection bin outside the office as well.  Both programs have supported our school by allowing the school to purchase equipment for our students.

Starr will also be participating in Gordon Food’s Fun Funds program.  Patrons sign up with Gordon Foods designating Starr as their organization of choice.  Every time you make a purchase, Gordon’s donates a percentage of the cost to Starr Elementary.  Our organization number is 2367072.  You can go to the following website to sign-up for the program online.   http://www.gfs.com/funfunds/home.page?OrgNumber=2367072   The program costs the consumer nothing to sign up for but is a great way to support our school.
*Last quarter we earned $49.70!

Meijer also supports Starr School through their Community Rewards Program.  Each time you shop at Meijer our school can earn up to 4% cash back on qualified purchases.  These contributions cost you nothing when you use your Meijer Card.  The more you shop, the more we earn.  You can join the Community Rewards Program in store or on line.  The code number for Starr is 225567.

Starr School has been added to Kroger's Community Rewards database and can now reap the benefits of this program.  All you do is shop and swipe your card and a portion of your purchases is donated Starr.
*Last quarter we earned $285.22!

Every year, billions of drink pouches end up in dumpsters and landfills across America.  TerraCycle and Capri Sun are working together to put an end to this awful loss of resources.  As an eco-friendly innovator, TerraCycle converts the drink pouches into innovative products from tote bags and pencil cases to plastic lumber and pavers!  TerraCycle is proud to team up with the largest producer of drink pouches in the county, Capri Sun, to address this problem!  Together we can make a difference.
Starr School has signed up for the Drink Pouch Brigade and we are collecting drink pouches.  For each approved juice pouch we receive, we will be awarded two TerraCycle points equaling $0.02.

*Last year we earned $180.50!  These funds are put towards purchasing playground equipment.
