All school bus drivers are CDL certified. All drivers must attend a fifteen hour Ohio Pre-service School Bus Driver Training Program. On-the-bus instruction of a minimum of twelve hours is also required before driving a bus with students along with FBI background checks and fingerprinting.
Four hours of yearly in-service training instruction is required and school bus drivers shall be certified by an Ohio Pre-service School Bus Driver Training Instructor and issued a new certificate upon successful completion of the requirements every six years. All our drivers and bus monitors are instructed in Crisis Prevention Intervention and are re-certified in CPI yearly. |
