Welcome to Coy Elementary School's website, home of the Rams!  Our school is proud to teach 500 preschool through fifth grade students.  The long tradition of our caring, compassionate staff and overwhelming parental and community involvement continue to contribute to our overall academic success.

Cold Weather Makes For Warm Hearts!

During the cold months of winter, warm clothing accessories are a must as students still go out to have fun at recess.  In January, the Bay Park Community Hospital graciously donated hats, gloves and scarves to students in need.  The donation was warmly welcomed by all!

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Provides Extra Supplies

As a token of appreciation to our teachers, the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Oregon has kindly offered some extra supplies for our children who may need them mid-year.  Their thoughtfulness and contribution is appreciated!

The Empire Restaurant and Coy School Celebrate the Chinese New Year Together!

The Empire teamed up with Coy School to celebrate the Chinese New Year.  It is customary in celebration of the Chinese New Year to donate or do something in honor of someone as a way to bring in the new year and that is just what the Empire Restaurant decided to do in Coy's honor.  Anyone who ate at the Empire Restaurant on Saturday, February 13th, Empire donated 50% of their total bill to Coy School. Coy School graciously accepted a check for $1,500. after the event. Coy plans to use the money to fix and update the current Light Speed systems used in the classrooms.  Many thanks to Empire Restaurant for your kind contribution!

Receive School Newsletter via e-Mail!

In an effort to increase communications and reduce costs, Oregon City Schools will be transitioning all schools to electronic newsletters.  All you need is an e-mail account to subscribe.  Simply visit www.oregoncityschools.org to subscribe to your school newsletter.  Just select the school you want to receive newsletters from, then enter your name and e-mail address. You will receive a confirmation e-mail with a link you must click to confirm.  Once confirmed you will begin receiving monthly newsletters from your school(s) starting in February.

The newsletters will include important dates, popular website links (e.g. staff directory, lunch menus, calendars), and current school news.  Each newsletter will highlight current school events and accomplishments as well as provide district communications.  This system is integrated with our website making it an efficient process to create the newsletters.  Providing newsletters via e-mail will also cut printing and distribution costs.  Subscribers can unsubscribe at any time by clicking a link on the bottom of their newsletter e-mail.
