After over 25 years in education, I am very glad and proud to come home to my alma mater to serve as Director of Technology for Oregon City Schools.  I began my tenure at Oregon City Schools in 2013.

I am a graduate of Clay High School and attended (the then) Eisenhower Junior High School and Clay Elementary.  I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics Education.  I earned my Masters Degree in Educational Technology from The University of Toledo.  I began my teaching career at Central Catholic High School where I also coached tennis, but spent the majority of my career as a teacher and then technology coordinator at Ottawa Hills Local Schools.

As a lifelong Oregon resident, it is exciting and rewarding to have a hand in helping current Oregon students develop into 21st century learners.  Skills such as creativity, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking (the “4Cs”) are said to be critical for our students to be competitive and thrive in today’s world.   I invite you to learn more about the “4Cs” and the entire framework for 21st century learning by investigating p21.org

It is my goal for each and every student to gain skills necessary as they venture out into the world of higher education and the workforce.  Please feel free to contact me at the number or email above should you have any comments or questions regarding the technology and the plan for its use in Oregon City Schools.
