SmileOctober 8, 2012:  A Starr Student was recognized by City Council and the Oregon Police Department last week for making a very responsible decision.  Elijah Mead came across a gun while out and about in his neighborhood.  He immediately got the help of an adult and the gun was safely removed from the area and disposed of properly.  Starr School is very proud of Elijah for realizing the potential danger of this situation and taking the proper action.  

Laughing October 4, 2012:  Congratulations to Clay senior Brandy Pelfrey for being named the October BCSN Student of the Month. Watch for Brandy’s commercials throughout the month. Great job Brandy, we are proud of you.

Smile Congratulations to Erin Weiker, Clay HS teacher,  for being selected as the Educational Service Center of Lake Erie West Teacher of the Month. Erin will be featured as The Blade “Teacher of the Month” in the October 3rd publication.

SmileCongratulations to Julie Marciniak, First grade teacher at Coy Elementary, for her election to the office of "President" of the Toledo Area Council of the International Reading Association.  She has served as Vice-President and President-Elect the previous two years.  We are very proud of Julie and her accomplishments!
