Jerusalem Elementary Principal's Message |
|

Welcome to Jerusalem Elementary School where “We Love to Learn”! Our school community serves students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade. Students needs are met by teachers who are passionate about education and expect and encourage the best from students every day.
Our Jerusalem parents are a key component in our school community. Volunteers work with students and teachers as well as outside groups and activities. The support and encouragement our students receive from home truly makes a difference.
My goal is to always do what is best for children. They are our future. Jerusalem has a long history of providing students with a safe and nurturing environment for learning. I am proud to be part of the committed parents, teachers, and staff who make Jerusalem a wonderful place to learn and grow!
Let us know how we can work together to meet your child’s needs. Should you have any questions feel free to email me at

Hooray for Hayrides
Jerusalem students K-5 were treated to something special last week! Local farmers and community members took the students on hayrides. Butch Berger, Jim Vogelbacher, Bill Wagoner, Eric Findsen, Dick Wolf, and Ron Brandt were present at Jerusalem for five hours, pulling the students in two hay-filled wagons. Classes were able to relax and enjoy the rides around our school. Some students sang songs and chatted during the rides. Teachers even enjoyed the outings, too!

Young Scientists
Electric circuits, turtles, bubble gum, and plants were a few of the interesting topics that students researched for the fourth and fifth grade Science Fair. Over 100 students presented projects after having completed an experiment using the scientific method or a research project. Tri-boards were decorated, 3-D models displayed, and papers presented. Some students even invented interactive displays! The 2-hour event was attended by many supporters, including Mrs. Carol Molnar, Board of Education member, and Mr. Grosjean from the Metro Press. Jerusalem students K-3 and staff were also present. (Pictures courtesy of Amy Hansen).
