The attendance office phone number is (419) 693-9729.  Absence calls will not be accepted at any other school telephone number.  The attendance office phone is a voice mail number, which is active 24 hours a day.  It is the responsibility of the home to have students in regular attendance. In accordance with Missing Child Law (OR3313.205), the following procedure will be in effect. The parent/guardian must notify the school by 10:30 a.m. if the child is absent (not in school by 7:50 a.m.) with the reason for the absence. Notes are not required, but will be accepted. Regardless of whether the parent/guardian contacts the attendance office, our automated phone system will call the parent/guardian because the system cannot be individualized, even if the parent has contacted the attendance office. They system calls as a courtesy call. A student is considered truant until the parental contact has been made. ORC3313.1205 requires a parent/guardian to provide the school with the current address (not P.O. Box), telephone number, parent employment number, and an emergency number.
