Roughly half of our parents have activated their parent portal this year allowing them to track their children's grades, attendance and other information online.  These parents also have access to Power Announcement, which allows them to manage contact settings for the district to determine how/when they wish to be contacted by their school.  Their parent portal account will also give them access to the new online student registration system being developed for next year.  Beginning with the 2013-2014 school year, all students will be registered annually through this online system.

It is important that all parents activate and regularly use their online accounts to track their students' progress, attendance and to manage communication preferences.  Without utilizing their accounts, school-parent communication will not be as effective.  In fact 26% of our parents have grades and attendance info e-mailed to them on a regular basis.  Another 10% track their child(ren) through iPhone apps.  This provides parents with early information to intervene if their child is not performing well.  It is our goal to have all parents utilize this system.  If you have not yet setup your account info, please see the following directions sheets to do so.
