The preschool program is for 3 and 4 year old children who have an identified disability.  Services are also available for a number of preschool-age children without concerns (typical students).  All children must live within the boundaries served by Oregon City Schools. 

The preschool program in Oregon City Schools is contracted and operated through North Point Educational Service Center.  This is a half-day program with children attending four days/wk from Monday through Thursday.   A two day per week program is also available.  Preschool classrooms are located in Coy Elementary and Wynn Elementary schools.  For the 2009-10 school year the morning preschool session at Coy will run from 8:35 - 10:55 and the afternoon session from 12:20 -2:50.  The hours at Wynn Elementary for morning preschool will be 9:15 - 11:45, and afternoon from 1:00 - 3:30.  Children living within the boundaries for Coy or Starr attend preschool at Coy Elementary; and those who live within the Wynn and Jerusalem boundaries attend preschool at Wynn Elementary.

Parents must provide a birth certificate, immunizations and proof of residency.  If the parents are divorced they must provide a copy of their divorce document which will state who has custody and, oftentimes, which school district the child must attend.  There is a $40 supply fee for all students and a $95/month fee for students who do not qualify for special education services (typical students).  As required by the Ohio Department of Education, transportation is provided by Oregon school bus for students who qualify for special education services.  No transportation is provided for "typical" students.
