Clay Honors Government Students Visit Ohio Statehouse

On November 6, Clay's Honors Government classes attended a session of the Ohio House at the Statehouse in Columbus.    Students were officially recognized as guests of Representative Sheehy during the opening session of the Ohio House and also sat with Representative Sheehy to learn about the legislative process.

Students also took a tour of the statehouse and had a brief meeting with State Senator Fedor.
Government student Drew Stevens said  "Being able to go to the capitol building in Columbus was a great learning experience, I was able to see how part of the government works first hand. It was a change in perspective from just talking about the Ohio Reps. in class, to seeing how it actually works. If anybody has the opportunity to go to the capitol building they should 100% take it, it was an experience that I will remember forever.
