Our goal is to provide services to students that meet each student’s unique and individualized learning needs.

All children are special!  They are special for many reasons, but mainly because they are yours.

There are some children who have unique educational needs which require special attention. Some of these children meet eligibility requirements, outlined by state and federal statutes, as students who need special education services. These children's disabilities may be physical, medical, emotional or the children may have cognitive delays, a learning disability or significant deficits in speech language development.

Special education is the provision of specially designed instruction to meet the unique needs of a child with a disability. The specific educational plan is outlined in an Individualized Education Plan and is available to eligible children from ages 3 years through their 22nd birthday.  This department primarily services students with disabilities.  We support programs throughout the Oregon City School district in all seven buildings.
