Nathan Quigg's Bio

The Technology Department provides hardware, software, training, repairs and maintenance for all network, computer and phone systems.  Our department continually strives to meet the ever increasing demands of education in the 21st century.  We manage a robust Windows network offering the following to our staff and students:

• 1400 Computers (Servers, PC’s and Mac’s)
• 225 Projectors
• 75 SmartBoards
• More than 100 different software applications
• Personal network storage for all network users
• Numerous building operation systems (cafeteria, library, phones, security, student information, …)

Over the past 3 years we have implemented many new computerized systems in buidlings across the district, including:

• Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning
• Lighting
• Door Locks
• Alarms
• Surveillance Cameras
• Clocks
• Bells
• Networked Cafeteria POS Systems

We recently completed the build of a fiber network between all district buildings.  This will increase educational opportunities and the efficiency of our operations while also cutting long-term network costs.  Furthermore, it will provide a higher level of safety due to the networking all district surveillance cameras to the Oregon police station.
