Mission Statement Vision Statement Philosophy The traditional practice of moving from school to work to retirement has become less common in our society. Life-long learning is now a necessary part of maintaining an active personal and professional life. Oregon Career & Technology Center is attuned to this continuous educational need. We offer classes for training, retraining, and upgrading of skills for employment and for personal interest. Job-training programs are designed for the training and retraining of individuals to meet the high demand for skilled workers in Northwest Ohio. Consultant-based training programs are available for people working in their selected occupations who need to keep abreast of technological changes in the workplace. Short-term classes for updating job skills and for personal interest are available throughout the year. Customized-training programs for businesses can be designed to provide personnel with new skills and upgrading current skills. All offerings provide cost effective, educationally sound training with direct, hands-on experiences. Modern equipment provides students with experiences to meet the specialized needs of today's workforce. Each program has an advisory committee of employers giving realistic advice for planning, implementing, and evaluating the program.
