Clay High School FFA
The Clay High School FFA is part of the National FFA Organization. There are more than 450,000 FFA members located throughout the United States and its territories. Members are preparing for careers in the science, business, and technology of agriculture.
Clay FFA members are taking an active role in building a future that meets their needs and helps them realize their finest aspirations. They're developing the leadership skills and confidence to help our world move forward with direction and purpose. They have the personal skills to maintain the values and integrity that have made America strong. And they have the knowledge and experience to make valuable contributions through agriculture and other industries.
The FFA mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
Premier Leadership
Leadership is a key component of the Clay FFA experience. Students learn how to present speeches in public, conduct meetings, and elect their own officers. They earn awards, scholarships and travel opportunities through their accomplishments and work experiences. Students learn how to excel and develop the skills necessary to become leaders in their school, community, and nation.
Personal Growth
Clay FFA members help others and, in the process, learn more about themselves. Whether they are helping to teach elementary students about the local environment, controlling invading plants at local parks, or meeting students from around the country at the national FFA Convention, members see the world through a new perspective and grow from the experience. They gain responsibility and self-confidence not taught in the classrooms.
Career Success
Clay FFA and agricultural education help students explore the more than 200 career areas in the growing agricultural industry. Career development competitions, job placement and hands-on programs give them professional experience early for a head start in the work force or college. The result is a steady stream of prepared, motivated, and well-trained employees for agriculture and other industries.
